House GOP Hosts 2nd Budget Forum for Local Government Leaders

Following the success of last month’s informational forum hosted by House Republicans for municipal government leaders, House GOP Leader Lawrence F. Cafero, Jr. (R-Norwalk) will host another municipal forum tomorrow, at 11:00 a.m. in Room 2D of the Legislative Office Building. The forum will focus on the budget deficit and its impact on municipalities.

“This is a critical information exchange, and our last forum was very successful,” said Cafero. “Democrats and Republicans alike who have the responsibility of managing the budgets of their towns and cities need to have an open dialogue with their counterparts in the legislature and this is what we are providing. They need the latest information from us, and we need to hear the concerns and ideas they have.”
