Rep. Kevin DelGobbo, a key member of the House Republican budget team, has been nominated by Gov. M. Jodi Rell to become a commissioner of the Department of Public Utility Control. DelGobbo, of Naugatuck, first took office in 1997, and rose through the ranks to become the ranking member of the legislature’s powerful appropriations committee. House Republican Leader Larry Cafero and all of his House Republican collegagues and staff would like to wish DelGobbo well in his new role as a DPUC commissioner. DelGobbo on Tuesday said taking the post was a difficult decision, explaining that he had never been more proud of his legislative work and the efforts of the House Republican caucus.
