Rigby Celebrates with Norfolk Library Staff, Volunteers

NORFOLK — State lawmakers John Rigby and Kevin Witkos were here tonight for a toast to the local public library, which has rececieved a prestigious award from an organization that ranks libraries across the country. The library was featured in the November issue of Library Journal, which named the Norfolk Library a five-star library based on event attendance, circulation, Internet usage and general attendance. Both Rigby and Witkos credited library staff and volunteers for their efforts, and Rigby read the text of a General Assembly citation they brought for the event. Library Co-Director Robin Yuran (pictured) led Rigby and Witkos on a tour of the building. Only 85 libraries nation-wide have recieved the honor.
