Lawlor Wouldn’t Report Every Sexual Assault

Rep. Michael Lawlor (D-East Haven) evidently would not report every felony or sexual assault he sees. Coming from an attorney, a co-chariman of the legislature’s Judiciary Committee, and a representative sworn to support the constitutions of the United States and the state of Connecticut, that’s comforting.

So what is Rep. Lawlor’s standard? Which felony assaults and sexual assaults would he be willing to report, and which ones would he prefer not to report?

Why does East Haven continue to re-elect him. Surely a Republican or Independent could mount an effective campaign to defeat him. I would think a large number of Connecticut citizens would contribute to defeat him.
